Alaska National Guard soldiers fight to become the best warrior

Thirteen soldiers from the Alaska National Guard fight to win the title of best warrior by participating in a series of events. This includes a 7.5 mile march, marksmanship contest, obstacle course, army combat aptitude test, soldier skills test, written essay and assessment of land navigation, among other events. The top private and enlisted NCO will earn the honor of representing Alaska at the regional competition.
“The six-day competition tests soldiers’ mental and physical agility and toughness through a series of battle-focused events that measure technical and tactical skill,” according to 1st Lt. Balinda O’Neal, Business Officer Alaska National Guard public.
