Army commanders conference to start tomorrow in Delhi –
The situation at LoC, LAC & Kashmir is expected to dominate the session
Jammu: The 2nd Army Commanders Conference 2021 is scheduled for October 25-28, 2021 in New Delhi.
Official sources said that senior military officials will meet in Delhi to discuss the prevailing security situation on the Line of Control, the actual Line of Control, the situation in Kashmir and any future challenges.
An official spokesperson said the Army Commanders’ Conference is a biannual summit-level event held in April and October each year.
“The conference is an institutional platform for deliberations at the conceptual level, resulting in important political decisions for the Indian military,” he said.
The conference is also a formal forum for senior leaders of the Indian Army to interact with senior officials from the Ministry of Military Affairs and the Ministry of Defense.
The Supreme Leadership of the Indian Army will reflect on current / emerging security and administrative aspects to chart the future direction of the Indian Army, in the context of the situation along the borders and the challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic .
Defense sources told the conference that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will address and interact with army commanders.
They said the Chief of Defense Staff and the Chiefs of the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force should also speak to senior leaders of the Indian Army on ways to promote the synergy of the three services – (KNO)
