Dark origin of Batman’s Future State opponent Peacekeeper-01 will be explored in upcoming one-shot Batman Secret Files: Peacekeeper-01.

Batman Secret Files: Peacekeeper-01 will fill in the gaps for Arkham Asylum Guard readers we met in March Infinite Frontier # 0 to become the sinister superhero hunter named Peacekeeper-01 who rules Gotham City in the near future storyline “Future State”.

Peacekeeper-01 is truly Sean Mahoney, who after the Arkham Asylum attack was drafted into a new private security force in Gotham. However, in one of his first missions, he was given a dose of Scarecrow’s Fear Toxin, which led him into a spin that caused him to become a thug of his organization – and rampage in Gotham City. .

But unless there is a twist in the story, we already know that Peacekeeper-01 will eventually take control of Gotham as part of the organization known as Magistrate. In the ‘Future State’ event, Peacekeeper-01 kills Batman – or at least he thinks so, as Bruce Wayne survived but decides to leave Batman’s cloak behind and instead become a vigilante known as the name of Dark Detective.

Future State’s Peacekeeper-01 is known to have a deep and personal hatred for Batman, so the seeds of that may become evident during this one-shot Batman Secret Files: Peacekeeper-01.

James Tynion IV and Ed Brisson are co-writing Batman Secret Files: Peacekeeper-01, with art from Joshua Hixson – who is also drawing the upcoming Batman / Fortnite: Foundation.

Batman Secret Files: Peacekeeper-01 goes on sale October 19 with main cover (and a variant) of Rafael Sarmento, as well as an additional variant of Tyler Kirkham. Check out these covers here:

Peacekeeper-01 seems to have what it takes to one day be one of our 50 Batman’s greatest villains.
