GOP to investigate Hunter Biden payments to Russia-linked escorts
RCapitol Hill publicans have pledged to investigate Hunter Biden’s payments to Russia-linked escorts — which the Washington Examiner revealed were unwittingly funded by Joe Biden.
“If I am re-elected and the Republicans win a majority, I would become chairman of the Senate Standing Subcommittee on Investigations,” said Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI). Washington Examiner. “In this position, I will continue to investigate corruption and potential criminal activity that Chuck Grassley and I exposed in our September 2020 report, which included Hunter Biden’s financial dealings related to what appeared to be a ‘network of prostitution or human trafficking in Eastern Europe”. .'”
Johnson added, “As serious as the sordidness and corruption of the Biden Inc. family is, what troubles me even more is the complicity and corruption of the legacy media and certain elements within our federal government agencies. law enforcement and intelligence. This corruption must be investigated.
JOE BIDEN INVOLUNTARILY FUNDED HUNTER BIDEN’S TRYSST WITH RUSSIA-LINKED ESCORTS
The announcement of the bomb comes after the Washington Examiner reported that the president apparently unwittingly finance her son’s participation in an escort network linked to Russiarecordings from a copy of Hunter Biden’s Abandoned Laptop Showand some of the younger Biden’s payments may have generated suspicious activity reports with his banks. Biden spent over $30,000 on escorts, many linked to Russian “.ru” email addresses and worked with an “exclusive model agency” called UberGFE, during a 3.5 month period between November 2018 and March 2019. He managed to do so partly thanks to Joe Biden who pledged to pay him a total of $100,000 to help pay his bills from December 2018 to January 2019.
A 2020 Senate report by Grassley (R-IA) and Johnson said “Hunter Biden paid non-resident women who were nationals of Russia or other Eastern European countries,” and the records note that some of those transactions are related to what “appears to be a network prostitution or human trafficking in Eastern Europe”.
The report says Hunter Biden “sent thousands of dollars” to people involved in “transactions consistent with possible human trafficking” or “potential association with prostitution.” Some of the women “then transferred funds they received from Hunter Biden to people in Russia and Ukraine.”
Biden revealed in text messages with a woman named Eva, the middleman who served as the main point of contact for UberGFE, that his accounts were temporarily frozen at one point because his attempts to pay his “daughters” with accounts Russian couriers were too much of a “red flag” for his bank. The President’s son spent over $30,000 with Russian escorts linked to Eva and UberGFE between November 26, 2018 and March 10, 2019. Eva asked him to make payments to bank accounts linked to email addresses. Russian mail at least 11 times during this period.
The UberGFE-linked website previously apparently touted locations in “Moscow – St. Petersburg – Kyiv” and currently notes that its “operators headquarters” is in Ukraine.
In an 83-second video recovered by the Washington Examiner that young Biden filmed and sent to Eva in January 2019, he can be heard having a conversation with an escort, asking if he had ever hurt her. His father had helped wire him $5,000 that day.
“I am very concerned about Joe Biden’s compromise. The fact that he was able to fund his son’s use of – potentially – escorts in a sex scandal, a global sex scandal, a sex operation. It’s also troubling that the Department of Justice, from what we can tell, is doing nothing to investigate or prosecute this,” Johnson also said. said on just the news “Pas de Bruit” broadcast on Wednesdays.
“The President of the United States has repeatedly lied to conceal his financial ties to his son’s illicit dealings – both professional and recreational,” said Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), the committee’s chief of Republican Conservative Study. Washington Examiner. “The more we learn about the Bidens’ ties to China and Russia, the more questions there are to answer. Even the possibility that foreign adversaries could blackmail the president and his family poses a major threat to national security and must be fully investigated.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), former head of the Government Oversight and Reform Committee, told the Washington Examiner: “We see evidence that the President of the United States can be compromised in ways that we are only beginning to understand. This is why Congress must commit to getting the truth out of whatever it reveals about Joe Biden.
Grassley and Johnson had sent a 2019 letter to FinCEN Director requesting “all suspicious activity reports” related to Hunter Biden and his businesses.
