Lt. Gen. Rana Pratap Kalita assumed his duties as the new General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Indian Army’s prestigious Eastern Command on Tuesday, succeeding Lt. Gen. Manoj Pande, who became the Deputy army chief. Staff.
