Southern Army Commander provides update on military establishments in Bangalore

Bangalore, Feb 23 (IANS): Lt. Gen. JS Nain, GOC-in-C Southern Command visited the Rashtriya Military School in Bangalore on Tuesday where he was briefed on the moves for the induction of the school’s first ever group of female cadets.
He also embarked on an extensive tour to review the renovation and development work underway at the school. The visit ended with an interactive motivational session with the cadets and school staff.
Improving academic standards and overall student development has been one of the army commander‘s primary goals. He has been actively involved in multiple academic initiatives and maintains constant engagement with academic institutes through visits and videoconference addresses, a defense statement noted.
Addressing the school’s staff and cadets, Nain commended the staff for their unwavering commitment and determination to maintain continuity in delivering quality education throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
He further pointed out that in addition to achieving academic excellence, the necessary emphasis should be provided by the staff on building character and improving moral values among the cadets.
He urged the cadets to develop their academic skills and build their physical and mental stamina through sports and extracurricular activities.
He also called on all cadets to continually strive to become valuable citizens contributing to nation building.
The officer also toured the CSA center and college where he was briefed on the institution’s initiatives to synergize the military, industry and academia, and solution development efforts. technologies for the Indian Army through the Army Technology Hub, Bengaluru (ATHB).
The tour ended with a tour of the CSA Center and College Windshield.
