Southern Army Commander visits military stations in Hyderabad and Secunderabad
Hyderabad: Lt. Gen. JS Nain, PVSM, AVSM, SM, ADC, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command visited Hyderabad and Secunderabad Army Station on 19-20 August.
A new institute named “Matru Chaya” (Asha Upchar) was inaugurated by Regional AWWA (Army Wives Welfare Association) President, Southern Command Ms. Anita Nain at the Artillery Center.
Matru Chaya is a residential/day boarding school with the aim of providing a safe, affordable and comfortable “home away from home” for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) dependents of Indian Army personnel.
On August 20, the Army Commander visited the Hyderabad Artillery Center and was briefed on training, operational readiness and administration. He also visited the Military College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad and the foundation stone of the new Post Graduation block at ACDS premises.
He visited various college departments and applauded the students, faculty and staff for their efforts.
