TikTok’s Smithy family say they will move after sending home escorts weeks before ‘arson’

TikTok’s dad stars the Smithy family whose home burned down in an alleged arson war had warned they had to move after a gang bombed their home.
The family was “devastated” by the fire that destroyed their property in Bexleyheath, south-east London.
Parents Nick and Jess Smithy grabbed their newborn baby and two young daughters Amelia, six, and Isabella, nine, after realizing their car was on fire.
Pictures show the property blackened and glowing from the flames, while their car was also gutted on their drive.
Nick, 33, revealed that before the fire, escorts and dozens of unwanted takeouts were sent to their homes by sick pranksters after their address was leaked online.

The Sun reports that a sickening attack saw a gang throwing stones at the house as the baby sat in front of the front window.
The oldest daughter in the family was left too terrified to sleep, and the Smithys installed CCTV during a three-month reign of terror.
After escorts were sent to their address last month, former builder Nick expressed fears of having to flee their home.
Nick told the 2.5 social media followers, “We’re leaving. We are not staying here. How can this happen? What is the next step ?
“Do I have to sit all night with a baseball bat?” I am absolutely furious.

In another video from June 24, Nick is heard saying to an escort who comes to the door “someone is playing a prank on you”.
After the fire, Nick claimed that two people were behind the alleged arson.
He said: “To the two people who did this, you could have killed our family and not just our family, my neighbors, my friends.
“It’s unforgivable. My daughters were in this room but that doesn’t matter to you, does it?
“One of you filmed it while the other did.”

Many comments urged the family to quit social media.
The popular family rose to fame for posting a funny video of their home life, including Nick dressing in pantyhose and having him tattooed Gareth Southgate on his leg.
The father of three later told The Sun: “We had over 100 Just Eat deliveries that weren’t paid for, it was cash on collection.
We had orders from prostitutes to God knows what time in the morning, we had broken windows, things thrown at the house.
“It’s all about jealousy that we’re trying to do good and push positivity. It’s heartbreaking.”
Last month, after Nick claimed that some people threw stones at the window of the property, he said he would go to the police if it happened again.
Metropolitan Police said they were investigating the incident but no arrests had yet been made.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Department added: “We were called with reports of a broken down car which had spread outside the house.
“There were a number of mobility scooters parked outside that caught fire and produced a large amount of smoke and flames.
“Everyone was out of the building prior to our arrival, and the crews worked incredibly hard to prevent further damage to the interior of the property and to neighboring properties.”
