Ukrainian robot vehicle “Peacekeeper” passes factory test

The Ukrainian design and production company Synergy has completed the final factory tests for its new modular unmanned ground vehicle Mirotvorets (Peacekeeper).
Managing Director Synergy Ruslan Jalilov said the vehicle’s capabilities were tested in severe weather, low temperatures and severe road conditions.
He added that the platform’s optical vision and communications system “regularly enabled” the Peacekeeper to receive video from the vehicle’s cameras and monitor it from a distance of up to 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers).
Synergy said the versatile robotic platform is ideal for armed forces as it can perform logistics, evacuation, reconnaissance and related tasks.
Additional Capabilities
According to the technical director of Synergy Kuzma Alexander, the Peacekeeper is based on an electromechanical chassis built on a durable base, allowing it to travel long distances with little noise.
It is an all-terrain vehicle for maneuvering on rough roads, overcoming water obstacles, crossing snow, desert and trenches up to one meter.
The Peacekeeper includes a universal chassis to allow the installation of combat strike modules, special reconnaissance technology, medical and mine clearance equipment and electronic countermeasures.
It can also transport wounded soldiers or transport military supplies to soldiers deployed in difficult operations.
“All these characteristics of [Peacekeeper] confirm the possibility of using platforms of this class in combat zones and in the future will allow our military to increase mobility and safety, as well as to be able to use modern robotic systems, ”said the company.
